Women singing at the bedsides of people struggling –
some with living, some with dying.

The Threshold Choir Southern Oregon carries on the ancient practice of singing at the bedside. Our music honors many different traditions.

Our mission is to share our voices in compassion and truth at life's thresholds.

When invited, we visit the bedside in small teams of two to four singers, and come as often as requested by the patient and family.

Our songs are chosen to respond to our patients' spiritual direction and physical condition. Simple lullabies and repeated phrases bring comfort and create a peaceful and contemplative environment.

Referrals come from hospice social workers, chaplains, nurses, family members and spiritual communities.
